11月3日 soccorintramural soccor game is over, and in the last one I pretty much grab the feelings. It's a damned good idea to go for the last one. Pretty know some people. The end is pretty good althoug the path was not very happy.
We are a gang play sort of happy soccor. At last we have more fun than other teams. It's kinda optimistical. However I am going to refreshing my shoes and I am going to kick the ass of the guys who kicked ours. The other team, 3 forwards, one Carose, one Inzazin, one Veri, shit. Pass is really good. Lose a lot, but we are going for fun next week. I should have this style of optimism.
So the conclusion, if you want to do sth, go for it. Don't worry about that you maybe shamed. On the one hand, keep happy, holding hope, on the other hand, work as smart and as hard as you can. to the good direction. Finally you'll be fine. Be a workaholic. If you even dare not go for it, 100% you'll not be able to do it.
Keep challenge yourself.
The start is pretty bad, but I turn the tide as last. It would be much nicer if I did it at first.  OK, seriously, I am going to tell something really illuminating to me.
1. somehow I think where to get a phd is important. Tony Pawson and Roger Stien Cambridge, others either McGill or whatever Canadian institutions. I don't have any attitude toward Canadian institutions, by the way. Anyway, it's whacky, but I still think it does matter, more or less.
2. Chinese people have sorta philosophy thinking. And they are able to feed people for a life by teaching them how to think, just like how to fish.
3. Chinese are able to involved in the Western society, OH, excuse me, should I say Americans? Whatever, but they work hard(checking slides even before the show time), they are really good, pretty renowed and know details of what they are doing, although they don't do experiment. But they are working in their way, high efficient way. They can pretty much handle all the information thrown into them and process with the bright mind and use the most efficient way to pass what they think, both good and drawbacks, to the people. Summarying by " the question is ...", they give out the answer, nice job. I could not say anything but they are doing a great job. They are scientist plus actor/actresses. I see the ex-extream, if it's not, of both inteligence, memorial ability, communicating capacity.
4. No loser today, obviously, but I don't know who is the largest winner. Probably not the recipient of whatever prize. You know, it actually makes me think: the society is doing science a good since a lot of people are doing the nice job and they are pretty happy, I mean they are coined to do this. That's about the society, seems not people since you can see chinese developing pretty good here. Another thing keeps bugging me: whether I can contribute to sciecne in an indirect way, make money and donation to science. Obviously I am not as bright as them. Maybe I should not directly serve science.

人们具有天生的惰性，更可怕的是感觉不到的惰性，如思维定势，办事情，想问题固定的模式与思路，后果就是好多人的思想已经死在脑壳里了，这是真正意义的安乐死，没有痛苦，还有快感和成就感，因为每天可以不犯错，拥有“成熟”的办事作风。缺少儿时的想象力，多了知识，经历（有时是事故）的禁锢，思想难得不死。 给自己下一剂猛药：每天要活出特点，每天都不相同，每天都有所痛苦，真如“痛并快乐”一样。 今天撕掉昨日的外壳了嘛？ 10月15日 中华民族缺点2--没有精品意识和室友讨论，中国是世界工厂，其实不确且，是裤子工厂，美国也是世界工厂，飞机工厂。 什么时候每架战机屁股上都刻着：made in China， 再嚷中国威胁论。 如果说小村子里一家打造兵器的（家里嘛都有，钩枪剑戟，棍棒刀叉）整天围着一家裁缝店老板说：”我感到生命受到了你的威胁"。 是不是很搞笑啊？呵呵。
在地球村就不搞笑了，尤其是作为裁缝家的人，感到很可怜，可悲，可怕，可恨。一且都在于２点：１， 我们只做一件事，２， 我们没有精品意识，我们好大喜功，喜欢看到一堆东西，不管质量，多多益善。
先说１， 老毛那会，全国只造原子弹，现在全国制造裤子。造原子弹没错，只造就错了，后来早裤子了，对了，可是把原子弹又丢了。
再说２， 造裤子挺好的，中国人出来就知道老外穿的土了，可是fashion中心在米兰，巴黎，伦敦和纽约，没在义乌小商品城，为嘛阿？不用问了， 呵呵。如果这样说中国是世界工厂，１３亿张嘴真的要反驳了，让老外得了便宜又卖乖，还中国威胁论，兔子也该急了。中国只有捡这些烂订单，和印尼，哥斯达黎加一样，（这里还有好多衣服是哥斯达黎加作的呢），老外不是做不了裤子，他们怕大量生产坏了名声（名声，婊子名声不好，中国货名声不好，小学生造句，意思一样），想想婊子从良后怎么给自己正名，就知道中国制造业多艰难了。就是不知道中国制造业主嘛时候想从良 ＊_*? 又不是不当婊子就活不下去，真是的。 （个人声明：没有歧视性工作者的意思，分工不同而已，都是劳动者，比吸血虫强多了。 这里就是借用一下，望不要介意）
我挺喜欢制造业的，比研发好，能亲自生孩子， 比光说不练强。 但先做研发，后进制造业，更能坚定我的精品意识。
知其很难，但还是自省：尽量不做婊子，不得已的话也要尽快从良。 知其难，而为知， 因其善！ 有时能明白西人的思路了中西文明，我想不出比这差别更大的一对同类了。
中国人，有千年文化积淀压箱底，但不同时代的人变化之大也是惊人的。以我而言，有时就很难理解westerners的思路。比如数细胞，他们会设计一个专门的机器，几千块钱， 耗材也挺贵的。 当时不禁暗笑：真是钱多烧的。 但不久就发现这个机器能做好多实验，关键是它是机器，误差是确定的。 不禁大悟，科学的思路，人只贡献大脑， 其他的全要靠机器，这就是科学的趋势，体力劳动密集作不了科学，顶多铺铺路，做出的大都有问题。
不用担心机器让科学人失业，呵呵，看来上帝对科学人的体力还是网开一面有所照顾阿：） 中华民族之缺点-1， 不量化1。不定量，和德国人相反。 好多都凭经验，靠感觉。后果：没有长进，或长进不快，没有什么可以分析评估的纪录，何谈对症下药？ 所以历史再悠久，是否值得夸耀还是要商榷一下，如果几千年都不断在作同样的事，和几十年的历史也差不多。 没有定量就没有证据可查，政治上是人治，谁最牛，最有经验，来治国， 社会进步没有评估的依据，谁也不知道今年比去年是好是坏，想比差多少，都知道差不多。是啊，一年一年是差的是不多，每月都一样，每天都是老路，sigh。 说白了，大部分人过的很糊涂。 但愿有一天，汉语字典里没有”差不多“这个词， 那就是龙族腾飞之日啦 德先生 赛先生突然很有感悟，中国的德先生 赛先生， 还真的像人们说的那样子， 来了又走了。温家 宝SARS时在清华又提到二位老先生，可见这次可真是请神送神都容易， 人家走了我们还 不知道呢，来了SARS又想起来了。 中国在教育的投资占GDP0.6%， 真说不过去。在科研上就更少了。比较一下北美的科技， 中国的，sigh。。。盗版真是报国仇的好办法吗？能盗到什么时候？到了民族研发全倒 下，民族创造力=0，就等着被掐脖子吧， 还不知道有多少不平等条约呢，历史是重演的 （如果没有意识到原因，还走老路的话）。老美不是傻叉，做科研没有好处他们才不干 呢。基础研究是费钱，但这是投资，投的多，回报更多。 古语有言：天道酬勤，不铺 路，跟屁虫，如何走在世界前列？走别人踩出的路是挺爽的，多省劲阿，但你不知道 trailblazer和你有多远，你也不知道他在路上埋雷没有。 印度是世界上最大的民主政体，印度发展也挺好的（当然也可能有自身的问题），但所见 所闻告诉我，印度的前沿走的不比中国慢，民主--〉互相帮助成为可能，--〉整个民族很 快就会赶上。 总而言之，感觉好可怕阿，中国应该有危机意识了，中国威胁不了别国，只是自己的最大 威胁。国民还很浮躁，好大喜功，经济建设，面子问题， 但愿不要等病入膏肓也不觉 醒，将悔之晚矣。 古语有言：骄兵必败overconfident=lose
